The location on De Hoop Vlei and the vastness of the reserve were mind-blowing. The room was clean and tastefully furnished with a comfortable mozzie-netted bed. The food was super, actually quite lekker and it came with an extensive, interesting and reasonably priced wine list. The staff was really, really nice and accommodating with the shining star being Dennis in the bar/restaurant. What a guy! We would be very happy to return. The nature reserve is jaw-dropping! Full of wild animals and awesome sea views! The food in the restaurant was very delicious! The evening dinner staff were charming and efficient even though the restaurant was full. The reserve itself with the stunning beaches and sand dunes is absolutely fantastic, and the rooms, dinner, and breakfast were top-notch. No negative comments whatsoever about this place!

During our romantic escape, we were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and immerse ourselves in nature. The location was perfect, surrounded by wildlife and offering amazing activities and knowledgeable guides. We were also impressed with the quality of the food at the on-site restaurant, which added to the overall experience.
Although overall we had a great time, there were a few aspects that could have been improved. we would have preferred the option of a self-catering suite, as the meals at the restaurant didn't offer enough vegan options for us.
